Agenda:

Learning Outcomes

Take the PMI-ACP exam with confidence, knowing that you have gained effective learning through hands-on exercises that will help you get started as an Agile coach.

Using a cumulative scenario, this workshop explores how PBI's may be written and refined 'just in time' and made appropriately fit for consumption by an Agile team.

Through simulations and discussion over 3 days, this continuing education class will provide practical experience on industry recognized techniques and practices for working in an Agile environment. Unlike lecture style classes that can be dry and purely theoretical, this course is focused more on how these skills are applied practically long after you have passed the PMI-ACP exam.

After this course, you will know:

  1. How to confidently take the PMI-ACP exam
  2. About the different types of frameworks used under the Agile umbrella
  3. How to speak confidently about the benefits of Agile
  4. How to create an Agile work environment
  5. Techniques to prioritize the backlog of work for your team
  6. Communicate with business leaders about Agile methods
  7. How to begin coaching Agile teams.
  8. Key terminology and expectations associated with Agile projects.
  9. How to empower Agile teams

NOTE: In order to focus on the PMI-ACP and the exam, delving deep into specific Agile frameworks and the mindset shift that comes with it is out of scope for this workshop. It is recommended that attendees be familiar with some Agile practices and the Agile manifesto before attending this workshop.
